HUR Welcomes Global Experts to Düsseldorf: Physio Fitness Study Tour 2025

From September 18–20, 2025, Düsseldorf became the global hub for Physio Fitness. HUR welcomed delegates from Finland, Japan, Malaysia, China, Romania and Hungary for its exclusive Physio Fitness Study Tour, a three-day event packed with inspiration, innovation, and international exchange.

The program mixed expert talks, real-life case studies, and hands-on reference visits with a deep dive into Germany’s thriving physiotherapy environment. Delegates didn’t just hear about the future of Physio Fitness—they experienced it first-hand at leading centres and at the renowned Therapie Düsseldorf and Rehacare Fair, where the latest rehabilitation technologies were on display.

Delegates experienced a rich program of presentations, case studies, and reference visits, exploring Germany’s physiotherapy landscape.

re.ac.me. physio+therapie

One of the reference visits, re.ac.me. is a modern physiotherapy clinic in Düsseldorf, Germany, with two locations. Established in 2011, the clinic offers a holistic approach to health, combining physiotherapy, training therapy, and since March 2024, occupational therapy—all under one roof.

The Heerdt facility spans 670 m² and features ten treatment rooms, a 120 m² training hall equipped with air pressure-controlled machines, and a functional training area. The Flingern location, opened in 2017, occupies nearly 400 m² and includes eight treatment rooms and a 100 m² training hall. Both clinics are known for their professional and empathetic therapists, modern equipment, and welcoming atmosphere. re.ac.me. is also an official partner of several German national and professional sports teams, including DFB Futsal, Borussia Düsseldorf, TT Deutschland, and RheinFire.

Physio Kirchhoff, Bochum

In Bochum, the Physio Kirchhoff clinic demonstrates how tradition and innovation can go hand in hand. Now in its third generation, the family practice has reinvented itself with a forward-looking, exercise-based concept powered by HUR technology. Instead of physically demanding hands-on treatments, therapists guide several patients at once through smart, machine-assisted training—a model that is scalable, profitable, and easier on physical well-being of therapists.

Susanne Kirchhoff and her son Maurice are carrying forward a proud family legacy while setting new standards for modern physiotherapy. Their redesigned facility now features a state-of-the-art training area that also serves as a showroom for other practice owners seeking inspiration and solutions for the future of physiotherapy.

By shifting away from the traditional hands-on model—where therapists earn about €25 per 20 minutes of physically demanding work—the Kirchhoff have embraced an approach that allows them to supervise multiple clients simultaneously. The result: reduced strain on therapists, higher efficiency, stronger profitability, and consistently high-quality care.

Delegation Trip Concludes at Therapie Düsseldorf 2025

The delegation trip concluded with a visit to Therapie Düsseldorf 2025, an international exhibition held at the same venue as Rehacare. The HUR Germany team participated in the event, showcasing their latest physiotherapy concepts and innovative rehabilitation equipment.

Attendees had the opportunity to experience live demonstrations, explore cutting-edge devices, and engage with HUR specialists on trends, technology, and best practices in physiotherapy and preventive care.

Germany: A Thriving Hub for Physiotherapists

Germany offers fertile ground for physiotherapy innovation. With strong professional recognition, clear career pathways, and clinics that combine treatment with prevention programs—such as back-care or fall-prevention classes—the country sets a high standard for holistic patient care.

For delegates, the Study Tour offered more than just a look at technology—it was an opportunity to exchange ideas, build professional networks, and explore the future of physiotherapy. Germany demonstrated what can be achieved when treatment and prevention truly work hand in hand.
